Melanie + Alex turned their Yosemite National Park honeymoon plans into their elopement, thanks to the pandemic. When they reached out to me after postponing their wedding and told me their idea, I was all in! I was so stoked to be a part of this and help create some amazing memories during a really stressful and overwhelming time.

We started the adventure at Taft Point for sunset, the day before their actual elopement. I had always dreamed of shooting here and getting the classic edge of the cliff overlook shot, and we had the absolute most perfect lighting for that. The next morning was elopement day and we woke up while the stars were still out, and headed to tunnel view for sunrise. We had the whole spot to ourselves and it was so peaceful. We stopped by another location for some stunning views of El Capitan on the way to the chapel for their ceremony. The chapel was so quaint and they exchanged rings and vows and made it official! After the ceremony we stopped by their campsite for some cake and champagne to celebrate, and relaxed until in was time for sunset photos. We ended the day at Glacier Point, and it was the perfect way to wind down and let them soak in the whole day.

I was so grateful to experience this day with Melanie and Alex, and had so much fun exploring the park and capturing all of its awe inspiring beauty. My favorite thing about being an Adventure Elopement Photographer is featuring my clients love surrounded by natural beauty.
